BITCOIN (BTC)

Bitcoin to pierwsza, najstarsza i najbardziej znana kryptowaluta, stworzona w 2009 roku przez autora znanego pod pseudonimem Satoshi Nakamoto. Tożsamość twórcy lub twórców pozostaje do dziś nieznana.

Co to jest BITCOIN (BTC)?

Bitcoin jest uznawany za cyfrowe złoto i środek tezauryzacji. Z punktu widzenia kapitalizacji rynkowej jest to zarazem największa i najczęściej używana kryptowaluta. Liczba bitcoinów jest ograniczona – można wydobyć tylko 21 milionów sztuk. Ostatni bitcoin ma zostać wydobyty w 2140 roku. Na giełdach bitcoin jest często określany skrótem BTC, w niektórych przypadkach można też spotkać się z oznaczeniem XBT.
