We want to assure you that we are aware of the recent market fluctuations that have affected the value of the Wexo token. The release of tokens from the presale was a necessary part of our roadmap, and we believe it will bring more stability and growth to our community in the long term.
The release of tokens from the presale phase is standard practice, which often leads to turbulent market conditions. You certainly know that we are building the Wexo project for the long haul, not for a quick sprint or the pump-and-dump style we see today with various meme coins.
Therefore, we would like to remind you of our long-term vision and wish you to have so-called "diamond hands" - to not succumb to panic and maintain a cool head as a professional and long-term investor.
Indeed, an investor who sells in panic and has "paper hands," as it's often said in trading circles, unfortunately ends up dissatisfied twice. First, when they sell at a loss, and second, when they see the project grow, but they can no longer realize the profit.
Similar situations have been experienced by even the largest projects in the world. We can mention, for example, top-tier exchanges like KuCoin or Coinbase. KuCoin, after its launch, also went through a significantly turbulent period until it established itself in the market.
A much more serious situation occurred with the largest American exchange, Coinbase, which lost 92% of its value after entering the stock market.
We can also find examples outside the world of cryptocurrencies; for instance, Netflix, as one of the top streaming platforms, also experienced a significant drop in the value of its stocks. Despite having millions of users worldwide and several years in the market, it faced a decline of 76%.
However, for Wexo, a much more significant indicator is the exceptionally successful year of 2024, during which we managed to represent Slovakia and the Czech Republic at various global events in Dubai, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, and Bucharest. The world's largest crypto media wrote articles about us, and we successfully launched the grand start of the Bitcoin Cashback program.
To date, we have distributed over 0.05 BTC (approximately €4,200) in cashback to users in partnership with our collaborators within a month of operation as a reward for their purchases made with cash, card, or bitcoin.
Our unique marketing program for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs was utilized by nearly 500 businesses in 10 countries shortly after its launch. We can also boast that we are the largest operator of crypto payment terminals in Central Europe, holding a 3.5% market share in Bitcoin payments worldwide.
Currently, there is interest from 844 Wexo Resellers who have purchased a license to distribute our services and products to the market and onboard entrepreneurs into our ecosystem, aiming to bring the real adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to the masses.
In terms of crypto services related to transactions, exchange, or purchases of cryptocurrencies, Wexo recorded revenues of nearly €280,000 this year. The last quarter has shown a tremendous year-over-year increase in platform usage.
The application usage has increased by 63% compared to the same period in 2023. In the Slovak market, we've seen a growth of 91%, in the neighboring Czech Republic an incredible 145%, and we are also pleased with the significant interest in Poland and Hungary, where Wexo usage has increased by nearly 70%.
