The non-fungible tokens / NFT have recently become hugely popular. The non-fungible token collectors were willing to pay tens of millions of dollars for some.

NFT investors and collectors are trying to get involved in the latest blockchain madness. Some prices they were willing to pay for digital works are enormous. The NFT popularity grew significantly in 2021. The art collections, worth millions of dollars, were sold worldwide. Celebrities and well-known artists are getting involved in the NFT.

Collections like the Bored Ape Yacht Club or CryptoPunks have become one of the most expensive. Some artists have sold their NFTs for tens of millions of dollars.

TOP NFTs: Ranking of the most expensive digital works

Note: Listed prices are in dollars due to the NFT sale date.

10. A Coin for the Ferryman

One of XCopy's first works, "A Coin for the Ferryman," was created in 2018. It was sold on November 4, 2021, for more than $ 6 million.

The NFT is a combination of scratched faces on a coloured background, while the form of GIF certainly makes it unique and something that the owner can proudly boast. After all, there may never be a piece like this again.

9. Beeple's Crossroad

Beeple's Crossroad is a short 10-second film that shows people walking around a large fallen body with written insults.

Beeple's works are highly respected. They offer something that sets them apart from regular NFTs. The sale price of $ 6.6 million speaks for itself.

8. CryptoPunk #7804

The first CryptoPunk on our list, but not the last one. #7804 is one of the nine "Alien" CryptoPunks, characterized by a cap, pipe, and glasses.

This CryptoPunk is one of those works you would love to mint the first time you run it. The NFT CryptoPunk #7804 was sold for $ 7.6 million.

7. CryptoPunk #3100

On March 11, 2021, just one day after the # 7804 sale, its sibling #3100 was sold for an even higher amount.

Another Alien punk, but this time only with a headband. #3100 is the seventh rarest NFT with a price tag of $ 7.67 million.

6. CryptoPunk #7523

#7523, which has overtaken all its CryptoPunk, is the third rarest in the collection and has a corresponding price tag of $ 11.75 million. CryptoPunk #7523 is a reminder of the pandemic. It is decorated not only with an earring but also with a respirator.

5. CryptoPunk #5822

The NFT from the CryptoPunk collection, number #5822, continues in the trend of super expensive "Alien" CryptoPunks; on February 12, 2022, it broke all expectations when its sale price was higher than $ 23 million.

At a double price of the next highest CryptoPunk, #5822 could send the entire collection even further into the stratosphere.

4. HUMAN ONE

HUMAN ONE by digital artist Beeple is one of the most expensive NFTs ever sold. Michael Joseph Winkelmann, Beeple's real name, occupied the top positions with his innovations in our chart.

According to an interview with Christie, HUMAN ONE was sold for almost $ 30 million on November 9, 2021; it is closely related to his following work, "Everydays".

3. Clock

"The Clock" is the work of Pak and Julian Assange. The NFT clock is updated daily to show how long Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has been arrested.

The NFT aimed to raise funds for Assange's legal defence. By the way, the AssangeDAO bought it when more than 10,000 people pooled their funds to buy the NFT to support Julian Assange.

2. Every day: The first 5,000 days

Another Beeple's piece of work and the most expensive NFT ever sold to a single owner. The price of $ 69.3 million is breathtaking.

Beeple's artwork is generally highly respected in the community. "Every Day: The First 5,000 Days" is a collage of 5,000 elements of his work. In 2007, he pledged to create one piece of art every day, and this is the result. It was worth the effort.

1. "The Merge"

Another piece from Pak's works, "The Merge," has officially become the most expensive NFT ever sold. The Merge bought 28,983 collectors for a total of nearly $ 100 million. Instead of one owner, "The Merge" has several owners; the artwork was sold in units known as "mass". By the end of the sale, i.e., on December 4, 2021, collectors purchased a total of 266,445 units, each with an initial sale price of $ 575.
